Founder member and executive secretary of HDOC, breeder of top-class English Bull-terriers, International judge and author of five well-received breed books. Her patience, wisdom and practicality are sorely missed
Karen Whitchurch

Karen takes the bookings, takes the photos and edits the website. She writes a regular monthly column for the Hornsea community news, and has also published the first two novels of the Georgie Crane dog-whisperer trilogy (see the Georgie Crane page)
A founder member of HDOC, Karen has loved dogs all her life, and trained her own (with varying degrees of success!)
Lynda Downie
Who is BIPDT qualified and is HDOC’s resident instructor. Owning over 30 years experience, from puppies to problem dogs, her classes are always fun, creative and informative. Ann Dixon
Long-time helper and willing training assistant, Ann has a lifetime affinity with dogs. Whilst volunteering at Hull Animal Wefare Trust, she bacame a renowned ‘foster-failer’ who kept adopting the residents!

Jo Gateshill
Another lifelong dog-person, Jo, who has been a club member for many years, has recently gained her Level One, dog-training qualification, with distinction, and is hoping to progress further in 2023.

Chris Corderoy
Chris, who also has a great affinity with dogs, is happy to help with any challenging candidate.
She is also a talented artist and psychic animal-healer. Pictured below, and on the right, BFG Guiseley
Jude Larsen
A lifelong dog-lover who has trained all her own working Cocker Spaniels
Jude is currently helping out with the puppy class, aided by Willow. RIP to the lovely Honey who showed ’em how it’s done
